​Washington Youth Debates 2023

Of the many elections that take place in the U.S., we are arguably most impacted by those at the local level. This website showcases the policies and ideas that a few candidates for local City Council and Mayor bring to the table. 

 

Designed to engage young voters, candidates discussed issues that local communities, particularly youth, care about. The questions were created in collaboration with students from four high schools in the area to encourage civic participation and amplify youth voices in local politics.
